Conference Venue

The Building Children's Nursing for Africa conference will be held at the Belmont Conference Centre in Rondebosch, Cape Town. This is a beautiful venue situated 20 minutes from both the centre of Cape Town and Cape Town International Airport.

Travel Arrangements
If you are travelling by car to the venue, parking will be at the Rondebosch Sports and Recreation Club. A shuttle will then run to the conference venue in the morning and at the end of the conference day. Click here to see a map of the parking in relation to Belmont Square.

Should you choose to Uber to the venue, use this location 21 Belmont Rd, Rondebosch. 

Disabled Access
Please get in touch if you require disabled access. Parking will be available at the venue (rather than at Rondebosch Sports and Recreation Club) and there is a lift up to the main venue.

Conference times
To be confirmed. 

Teas and Lunches
Morning and afternoon tea, and lunches are served daily and included in conference registration fee. You will be asked to indicate any special dietary requirements as part of the registration process. Last minute dietary requests cannot be accommodated.

Cocktail Function
A celebratory cocktail function will be held at the end of the second day (25th November) and you are warmly invited to join us. Cost to attend is included in your conference registration fee if booked to attend the second day of the conference.

Language 
The official language of the conference is English. All presenters and posters are requested to adhere to this language. 

Conference dress 
Business casual attire is suggested for both days.

Time zone
Cape Town is on South African Standard Time, which is 2 hours ahead of GMT. South Africa does not adjust for daylight savings time.

Climate
November in Cape Town marks the arrival of early summer, offering warm, dry, and sunny weather with average daytime highs around 23 to 25 degrees Celsius and cooler evenings. Usually it is fairly dry but may be windy. 

Visa and entry requirements
Nationals of some countries will require a visa to enter South Africa. To find out if you need a visa and how to go about getting one, please visit the official South African Government visa website: www.home-affairs.gov.za, or contact your local South African consulate / own government authority.

Should you require a letter of invitation for a visa, please submit a request, by email, to the conference organisers (info@buildingchildrensnursing.com). The letter of invitation will then be sent to you within 2 working days, provided that the full registration fee has been paid.
